Hurricane Francine made landfall just before 5pm CDT (5:51 EDT) in southern Louisiana in the Parish of Terrebonne, about 30 miles south-southwest of Morgan City, as a category 2 storm with maximum sustained winds near 100 mph.

Rainfall totals through 9PM Wednesday

Highest winds gusts through 9PM Wednesday  

RAINFALL: Francine is expected to bring storm total rainfall of 4 to
8 inches, with local amounts to 12 inches across southeastern
Louisiana, Mississippi, far southern Alabama, and the Florida
Panhandle through Thursday night. This rainfall could lead to
considerable flash, urban and river flooding.

SEVERE OUTLOOK
 On Thursday, the tornado risk
will move into additional parts of Alabama, southwest Georgia and
the Florida Panhandle due to the remnants of Francine.
