Another wildfire breaks out, this time near Palmdale

Amid a spate of large wildfires in Southern California, another blaze popped up in Los Angeles County Wednesday afternoon.

The Joshua Fire near Palmdale was reported at 2:49 p.m., and the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported it was 3 to 5 acres in size.

By about 4 p.m., it had grown to 50 acres.

Light grass was burning, and as of about 3:15 p.m., no structures were threatened.

No injuries have been reported.
