Fort Worth’s Central Market could be extra busy this weekend.

To celebrate the H-E-B brand’s 30th anniversary, Central Market is holding special events, cooking classes and more at all 10 of its locations across Texas. The gourmet grocer will host events for customers starting today through Sept. 24.

A 30th anniversary “foodie stroll” at the Fort Worth location at 4651 West Freeway is Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. Customers can enjoy food displays, interactive events and samples. For $10, customers can register to receive exclusive anniversary merchandise, including a wine glass and $10 coupon. A $50 Central Market gift card will be raffled off to one lucky customer.

Other Fort Worth events include a patio party on Sept. 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. Chef and food writer Martin Yan will be hosting a cooking demonstration on Thursday evening. Online registration is required for both events.

Central Market is also inviting kids to take part in its celebrations. Though it’s over a week away, registration for the chain’s future foodie stroll on Sept. 21, which will feature activities for children throughout the store, is sold out at all 10 of Central Market locations.

To commemorate the anniversary, Central Market is offering a range of exclusive products including 30-day dry aged New York strip steaks and limited-edition bakery items.

Fort Worth’s Central Market opened in 2001, seven years after the brand’s inaugural store opened in Austin. The chain offers a variety of H-E-B brand products, specialty items and grocery staples, like fresh produce, meat and seafood. The H-E-B brand recently began offering tap to pay services at all of its locations.

Disclosure: H-E-B is a funder of the Star-Telegram’s Crossroads Lab. The company has no influence over editorial decisions.
