Suspect dead after officer involved shooting in north Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A suspect is dead after an officer involved shooting Tuesday night at West Anderson Lane and Wooten Park Drive, according to the Austin Police Department.

APD said no officers were injured in the shooting. The shots fired call came in at 10:59 p.m.

Austin Police said the area of West Anderson Lane, near Burnet Road, will continue to be shut down as the investigation continues into Wednesday morning. They said to plan your route accordingly and to expect delays.

A media briefing will be conducted by APD at 2:45 a.m.
