Childish Gambino postpones North American tour, including Chicago stop

CHICAGO — Childish Gambino has postponed his North American tour including his October date in Chicago.

Donald Glover, who goes by the stage name Childish Gambino, tweeted Monday that he has postponed the rest of the dates to focus on his “physical health.”

hey everyone. unfortunately i have to postpone the rest of the north american tour to focus on my physical health for a few weeks. hold onto your tickets. ALL tickets will be honored for the upcoming dates in north america when they are rescheduled. thanks for the privacy. thanks for the support. thanks for the love.

He was scheduled to perform at Chicago’s United Center on October 3. The United Center posted on their website that “All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled date.”

Just hours before his Houston show on Sunday the account tweeted that show was “postponed due to illness.”

“Fans are encouraged to hold onto their tickets. All tickets will honored for the new show date,” that tweet said.

In May, Glover announced the release of his new album and the “The New World Tour,” his first tour since 2019. It began on Aug. 11 in Oklahoma City and is scheduled to head to Europe, the U.K., Australia, and New Zealand.
