Officers arrest Montclair man suspected of stabbing wife to death

Officers arrested Martin Torres-Espindola, 57, of Montclair for murder after finding his wife dead in their home with stab wounds on Friday.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said Chino Hills deputies responded to a call around 12:09 p.m. that reported Torres-Espindola killed his wife, Maria Torres.

Deputies and medical personnel arrived at the home in the 11400 block of Hartford Ln to find Torres deceased.

Torres-Espindola was found inside the home with self-inflicted injuries. He was treated and released from the hospital before his arrest.

Detectives concluded the investigation and booked Torres-Espindola at the West Valley Detention Center without bail.
