Shooting at Glenwood liquor store leaves one dead, police say

GLENWOOD, Ill. – One person has died after a shooting inside a Glenwood liquor store.

The Glenwood Police Department said the shooting happened at around 6:45 p.m. Monday inside of Emporium Liquors, located in the 300 block of East Glenwood Lansing Road.

Police said it appears the suspect and a store employee got into an argument before the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the employee, who died from their injuries.

According to investigators, there is no risk to the public related to this incident.
