Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce attend U.S. Open men’s final

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce held hands as they arrived to watch the U.S. Open men’s final match Sunday during a whirlwind date weekend in New York City.

They were there to cheer on another Taylor — American Taylor Fritz — in his match against Italy’s Jannik Sinner. The couple watched from a box at Arthur Ashe Stadium alongside Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs team mate and his wife, Patrick and Brittany Mahomes.

Kelce’s Wimbledon-vibe white shirt and sweater topped by a Gucci bucket hat complemented Swift’s red-and-white gingham sundress. The U.S Open X channel also posted a photo of Swift enjoying the Open’s signature cocktail, the Honey Deuce.

The celebrity pair picked one of the Open’s most significant matches of the year; the last time an American man played in a grand slam final was Andy Roddick in 2009, People pointed out. The last win was in 2003, also by Roddick.

Just days before, Swift was in Kansas City to cheer Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs at their home opener 27-20 win against the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium. But Swift not sitting in the same box as Brittany Mahomes sparked speculation the two were on the outs after blowback from Mahomes’ social media approval of some of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s policies.

Then the A-list couple jetted to New York, where they showed up Friday night in Brooklyn’s Carroll Gardens neighborhood and dined at Lucali Pizza. On Saturday, they attended the wedding of model Karen Elson and Lee Foster, owner of Electric Lady Studios, USA Today reported.

The couple’s connection may have proved a “breakup plan” that made the rounds last week was a hoax. Also spotted at the match were actors Matthew McConaughey, Dustin Hoffman and Eddie Redmayne, according to the Association of Tennis Professionals’ ATP Tour website.
