M&M’s bringing back discontinued flavor 9 years after being stripped from shelves: ‘Finally!’

It’s a candy-coated comeback.

Mars Inc. is debuting a brand new take on a fan-favorite M&M’s flavor that was discontinued in 2015: Peanut Butter & Jelly candies.

“Peanut Butter & Jelly M&M’s are expected to launch soon!” announced the confection-centered Instagram account CandyHunting.

The chocolate-filled pellets boast a “flavored peanut butter filling,” similar to the nosh-talgic Strawberried Peanut Butter M&M’s that debuted in 2009 as a promotional product for “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.”

The latter were retired six years later, much to the chagrin of many M&M die-hards.

The exact date of the new Peanut Butter & Jelly M&M’s launch is unclear.

However, CandyHunting said they will debut at the National Association of Convenience Stores show in Las Vegas this October.

Chocaholics are chomping at the bit to get their jaws around the candy.

“I’m so excited for the PB&J trend to hit candy!” gushed Instagram account Snackolater of the sweet news.

Another fan wrote: “Finally! I’ve dreamt of this flavor for a real long time. Dreams do come true!”

“Now this will be a very interesting snack right here,” exclaimed a third.

The PB&J M&M-aissance was much better received than the May return of the M&M’s Orange Vanilla Creme — a creamsicle-themed treat coated in white chocolate that initially launched in 2018, Parade reported.

“I tried these when they first released them and they are gross,” griped one naysayer under an Instagram post announcing their return.

The Peanut Butter & Jelly-flavored treats are the second classic candy to unretire recently after the beloved Altoid Sours, which will be hitting shelves for the first time since 2010.
