No turkey legs this year at Taste of Chicago

US

CHICAGO — An omission at this year’s Taste of Chicago will likely ruffle some feathers.

Once a 10-day event that defined Chicago worldwide, Taste of Chicago is now a single weekend at summer’s end.

Eli’s Cheesecake and deep-dish pizza options abound, but none of the restaurants and food trucks participating in the event will offer turkey legs this year.

In its heyday, Taste had nearly 100 restaurants to choose from, but it now has just over three dozen and several food trucks. Lollapalooza, also in Grant Park, offered more than twice as many restaurants this year.

WGN-TV recently compiled a list of all things Taste of Chicago, including food vendors, street closures, musical acts, and more. Click here to read more.

Admission is free and the festival will be open from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. each day.
