1 taken to the hospital after downtown Austin shooting

AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person was taken to the hospital early Monday morning after a reported shooting in downtown Austin, the Austin Police Department said Tuesday.

APD said officers and Austin-Travis County EMS responded to East Seventh and Red River Street around 1:18 a.m. Monday and found one person with a gunshot wound.

The APD Aggravated Assault Unit is investigating the incident, police said.

No other details were released by APD Tuesday.
