Tuesday forecast: Another sunny, pleasant day in Chicagoland

US

Tuesday is shaping up to be another pleasant day in Chicagoland, with comfortable temperatures and abundant sunshine.

Early-morning temps were cool and dry, with outlying areas in the upper 40s.

Temps will climb as the sun rises, and the wind will be calmer than it was the last couple days. High temps Tuesday may reach the upper 70s inland, though it’ll remain in the lower 70s near the lake.

And there’s no rain in sight, either.

Temps warm as the week continues, with highs back in the low 80s, at least inland, on Wednesday. Then, Thursday will be warm and humid, with highs in the mid- to upper 80s.

The chance for showers and storms also returns later Thursday and into Friday, then the coming weekend looks to be dry, pleasant and cool, with a touch of fall in the air, perhaps, as the Bears take the turf at Soldier Field on Sunday afternoon for their 2024 season opener.
