Crews have knocked down a parking lot fire that sent up plumes of smoke in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon.

The fire, located at 749 Kohler St, only threatened structures that recently burnt during a multi-structure fire on Tuesday, according to fire authorities.

Firefighters extinguished Sunday’s flames in about 46 minutes and kept it from burning any structures.

Residents can expect to see additional smoke in the area for an extended period.

LA Fire Department Heavy Equipment Operators are currently responding to assist with uncovering smoldering debris from a large pile of rubbish outside.

This fire is currently under investigation, and no injuries have been reported.
