CHICAGO — The inbound Dan Ryan Expressway has been closed at 71st Street on the city’s South Side early Sunday morning due to a fatal crash investigation.
According to Illinois State Police, troopers responded to I-94 northbound at 71st St. for a single-vehicle crash at about 5 a.m. Sunday. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead, ISP says.
The 71st St. ramp is currently shut down.
