NASCAR will make a landmark return to Lime Rock Park on June 27-28, 2025 with the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, marking the first time the series has raced at the historic track. NASCAR will return to this venue after a 14-year absence.

Lime Rock Park, a motorsport sanctuary since 1957, has been the stage for a myriad of legendary events, such as the Trans Am weekend on Memorial Day and the Historic Festival. Now, with the return of the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, the Park is poised to add another illustrious chapter to its storied legacy.

Dicky Riegel, CEO of Lime Rock Park, commented:

“Lime Rock Park has been working closely with NASCAR leadership over the last two years to ultimately propel the incredible opportunity to host the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series at the Park in 2025.

“To say that we are excited about this announcement is a major understatement, as this will surely be the biggest event in Lime Rock Park’s history. The combination of the incredible NASCAR fan base in New England with the spectacular beauty of Lime Rock will create motorsports magic in Connecticut.”

NASCAR Executive Vice President Ben Kennedy also explained:

“We are proud to bring the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series to historic Lime Rock Park for the first time.

“Thanks to Dicky Riegel and the Lime Rock Park team for their commitment with NASCAR to bring an event to our passionate race fans in the northeast. We look forward to showcasing the intense competition of the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series at one of the most historic road racing circuits next season.”

Tracing its NASCAR story back to 1993, Lime Rock Park hosted 20 NASCAR events through to 2011. The inaugural race, a NASCAR Busch North event, saw Ken Schrader claim victory, while subsequent years cemented Lime Rock as a prominent venue with memorable performances, including Butch Leitzinger’s hat-trick of wins and Matt Kobyluck’s triple victories in 2005, 2007, and 2008. The venue also transitioned to host the NASCAR Busch East series and included the NASCAR Modified Tour by 2010.
