Prince Harry and Prince William were both in attendance for the funeral of their uncle Lord Robert Fellowes on Thursday — but didn’t show each other any brotherly love.
According to a new report, the royal siblings avoided one another during the solemn affair.
The Duke of Sussex, 39, headed to the U.K. to attend the funeral of Princess Diana’s brother-in-law, who died on July 29 of undisclosed causes at age 82. Harry’s older brother was also present at the event held at St. Mary’s Church in Norfolk.
People magazine previously reported Harry was not expected to attend the funeral due to his security concerns in the U.K., but confirmed on Friday that he did in fact discreetly attend the service.
An unnamed church warden also confirmed to the BBC that both brothers were in attendance.
“It was wonderful that both princes were able to attend their uncle’s memorial service yesterday at St. Mary’s Church,” the source told the outlet. “The service was a lovely family occasion celebrating the life of such a special man. Many friends were also present and also many members of the St. Mary’s Church family.”
The brothers reportedly stayed away from one another, sitting apart in the back of the cathedral, which is not far from the royal Sandringham Estate.
Amid the ongoing “rift” within the royal family, Prince Harry and England’s 42-year-old future king have not been seen together in the U.K. since 2023.
Lord Fellowes was married to Lady Jane Spencer, Princess Diana’s sister, for more than 40 years. Between 1977 and 1999, he worked in Queen Elizabeth II’s private office and later served as her secretary throughout the 1990s.
The British courtier was portrayed by actor Andrew Havill in the fifth and sixth seasons of the Emmy Award-winning Netflix series “The Crown.”
Prince Harry previously “jumped on a plane” to return to his home country to see his father, King Charles, shortly after Buckingham Palace announced he was diagnosed with cancer in February.
In May, the runaway royal visited the U.K. for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, which he founded to help the rehabilitation of wounded and sick veterans and active service members.
Harry reportedly invited Charles, William and Kate Middleton to attend a special service for the games, but none of them attended.
