Donald Trump Shares Bizarre Photoshopped Image Showing Himself, JD Vance, Elon Musk and Others as DC Superheroes

US

Donald Trump is the legendary Man of Steel — at least, according to a meme the Republican presidential candidate posted on his Truth Social account.

The image shows Trump and various associates and supporters depicted as superhero characters from DC’s cinematic universe. The 45th U.S. president is shown as Superman, while his VP running mate, JD Vance, is evidently supposed to be Batman. (See the full image below.)

In addition, the tableau includes Elon Musk, the pro-Trump megabillionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX who owns X (formerly Twitter), as the part-human/part-robot Cyborg, and entrepreneur, investor and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy as the Flash. Former U.S. congressional representative Tulsi Gabbard is suited up as Wonder Woman, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who recently dropped his independent presidential campaign and endorsed Trump, seems to be Aquaman. The Trump 2024 campaign earlier this week announced the addition of RFK Jr. and Gabbard to its transition team.

The DC superhero meme “originated from an X user who posts mostly about the former president and Indian politics and cinema,” according to a report by the Daily Beast.

Reps for Warner Bros. and DC did not immediately respond to a request for comment about Trump’s post.

Per the Daily Beast’s article, “Trump and his associates have a long history of trying to compare the real estate magnate-turned-political firebrand to the Man of Steel,” with the article noting that Trump’s 50th birthday party featured him as depicted as Superman as part of a diorama next to the cake.

Trump has portrayed himself as a Superman-like superhero in other contexts. The former president in late 2022 launched a series of digital trading cards, including one of him dressed in a superhero costume (emblazoned with a capital “T”) with lasers shooting out of his eyes.
