NYPD on the hunt for babyfaced robbers who viciously attacked woman in Central Park: cops

The NYPD is on the hunt for a trio of teen muggers who viciously roughed up a woman inside Central Park earlier this month – as stick-ups in the greenspace continue to surge.

Cops released images of the three babyfaced robbers – believed to range in age from 15 to 17 – who approached a 27-year-old woman inside the park at 67 West Drive around 11:45 p.m. Aug. 11.

They grabbed the woman by her arm and demanded that she fork over her belongings, police said.

They grabbed her phone and her purse – and later racked up charges on her credit card, police said.

The suspects fled on foot, and the NYPD released video and photos late Wednesday of them walking inside what appears to be a building lobby. 

One of them is described as a man with a slim build, last seen wearing a white tank top, gray sweatpants, red and white sneakers, and carrying a black cross-body bag, cops said.

Police described the second suspect as a man with a slim build, last seen wearing a multi-colored hat, a white T-shirt, black shorts, white sneakers, and carrying a black cross-body bag.

The third teen is also described as having a slim build, last seen wearing a black baseball hat, a black T-shirt, and white shorts.

The robbery did not appear to be part of a pattern as of Thursday morning, cops said.

But earlier this month, an 11-year-old boy who was busted in a Queens subway robbery was linked to a spate of heists in Central Park carried out by migrant kids, NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell revealed.

A group of up to 12 migrant boys or young men have been connected to roughly 10 robberies in Central Park, Chell said.

Robberies within the iconic park have more than doubled so far this year compared to the same period in 2023, according to the latest NYPD data, updated Sunday. 

A total of 34 robberies have been reported so far this year, compared to 13 within the same time frame last year, the statistics show.
