Robbery investigation yields cache of automatic weapons in Inland Empire

US

An investigation into a July robbery and assault in Victorville resulted in the discovery of a cache of automatic weapons at a home in Fontana, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

On Tuesday, deputies searched a home in the 14500 block of El Contento Avenue in Fontana, locating “multiple automatic weapons … along with high-capacity magazines and ammunition,” the SBSD said in a news release.

Germell Shidon Miles, 48, was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center on charges of robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.

Miles, a Los Angeles resident, has since been freed on bail, according to jail records, which also indicate that Miles’ assault with a deadly weapon charge did not involve the use of a firearm.
