An exploding boat in Old Bridge, N.J. sent two men to the hospital Wednesday afternoon.

The 3:20 p.m. blast forced a 57-year-old man into the water at Raritan Marina in Laurence Harbor, according to ABC News. That victim was treated for burns to his legs and face. Bystanders pulled him from the water, according to Central New Jersey News.

A second man, 47, was reportedly injured by shattered glass that hit his arms and stomach.

The pair were treated at separate Garden State hospitals. Their current conditions are unknown.

Aerial footage shot by CBS News shows thick, black plumes of smoke over the site of the explosion. The badly damaged boat could not be saved and reportedly sunk as local firefighters and FDNY marine teams worked to put out the flames.

The cause of Wednesday’s explosion is still being investigated, but officials said there’s no immediate indication of foul play.

Raritan Marina remains closed as police continue their investigation.

Old Bridge is located roughly 30 miles south of lower Manhattan.
