Travis, Jason Kelce’s ‘New Heights’ inks $100M Wondery deal

Travis and Jason Kelce are hitting new heights in their podcasting career as the football stars signed a more than $100 million-dollar deal with Amazon’s Wondery.

The Super Bowl-winning brothers’ three-year deal, which goes into effect Wednesday, gives the podcast network exclusive rights to ad sales and global distribution for their “New Heights” podcast, a source familiar with the agreement told Variety.

“We couldn’t be more excited to team up with Wondery for the next phase of ‘New Heights,’” Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis, 34, and newly retired Philadelphia Eagles Center Jason, 36, said in a statement to the outlet.

“We love this show, and the fanbase that has grown with us over the last two seasons.  Wondery understands the shared vision and will offer a wealth of experience and resources to take us to ‘New Heights’! We are going to create some groundbreaking moments together through this partnership. We are thrilled to start Season 3 — see you soon, 92%ers!”

The show — which wrapped its second season last month — launched this time in 2022 but enticed a new demographic when Travis started dating Taylor Swift last year and people would tune in to hear his take on their headline-making love story.

“‘New Heights’ on the surface is a sports podcast, and sports is such a well-listened-to category,” Wondery CEO Jen Sargent told Variety, noting the network has been following “New Heights” since its inception. “But it’s become a cultural phenomenon — they’re in that cultural zeitgeist.”

The deal applies to all audio and video episodes of the podcast, including the entirety of its back catalog. It also means Wondery exclusively can monetize and distribute those episodes, which will remain on YouTube and all podcast services, including Wondery channels. The agreement also applies to “New Heights” merchandise.

In the months since Travis and the Grammy winner, also 34, went public, he’s scored numerous new opportunities off the field. Those include a cameo at one of Swift’s London Eras Tour shows, a role in Ryan Murphy’s “Grotesquerie,” a gig hosting “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” and, as Adam Sandler confirmed last week, “a nice something” in the “Happy Gilmore” sequel.
