Slipknot star and partner of Kelly Osbourne, Sid Wilson, has unveiled his painful facial injuries after a bonfire “explosion”.

The heavy metal band’s turntablist suffered “serious burns” to his face and arms after the incident at his farm in Iowa over the weekend.

The 47-year-old has been keeping his 647,000 Instagram followers up to date on his recovery ever since, saying he “looks so crazy right now”.

On Monday, he uploaded a video of his girlfriend, 39, applying fresh dressings to his wounds. He captioned it: “@kellyosbourne having the Florence Nightingale effect on me.”

“She has taken charge,” Wilson said of his other half, as she replied: “Me? You’re not allowed to f*** around. That’s what got us in this s*** in the first place.”

The extent of his facial burns were clearly visible in the close-up clip, as he stated: “This s*** looks so crazy right now.”

A blood-splattered wall and floor was seen in a separate clip, while Osbourne could be heard stating: “Don’t forget the floor, all of it. Blood spots everywhere.”

Wilson first opened up about what happened on Saturday in a lengthy upload, in which he was seen in a hospital bed undergoing X-rays.

Speaking directly to fans, he explained: “Hi everybody, my face is burnt and my cheeks. I had an explosion in my face.

“I’m OK, I’m going to be OK. But I did have some serious burns to my face and my arms… I’m shaking.”

Wilson said he was “singed everywhere,” before continuing: “My mouth is blistered. My arms [are] pretty bad. Both of my arms.”

But he reassured: “I’m going to be all right, you guys. I don’t care what it takes, I will see you on tour.”

Slipknot are set to perform at Rocklahoma on Sunday, with the band confirming Wilson would be with them despite what had happened.

They wrote on X, formerly Twitter, to their 2.4 million users: “Our brother Sid Wilson was in an accident today and sustained burns across his body. He’s recovering with his family and will still join us on stage at Rocklahoma.”

On Sunday, Wilson was seen carefully shaving the effected area as advised, as he said: “I look like a clown,” but once again confirmed he was “on the mend thanks to nurse” Osbourne.

“You can see where the burn went around my glasses. Luckily they didn’t shave my head,” he quipped.

Wilson had returned home earlier that day, after previously being transported to a specialist facility.

He added at the time: “I’m going to be in LA, that ain’t going to stop me.

“I do know better, so everyone out there be really safe when you’re messing with fire. Something I’ve dealt with tonnes of times.”
