Early-morning shooting in drive-through of suburban McDonald's leaves 3 injured

PARK CITY, Ill. — An investigation is underway after three men were injured in a shooting in the drive-through of a north suburban McDonald’s early Sunday morning.

According to police, the shooting unfolded in the 3200 block of Belvidere Road in Park City, in Lake County.

Park City police said officers were called to the scene just before 1:30 a.m. following a report of a shooting in the area, and when they arrived, they found the three victims, who had all suffered gunshot wounds.

Following a preliminary investigation, it was determined that the three victims had been followed to the restaurant by three other people.

Officers said the three victims were standing at the drive-up window when the three other individuals opened fire.

Currently, it is unclear what led to the shooting and police say no arrests have been made.
