Teen shot in parking lot of Gately Park Stadium

CHICAGO – A teen was seriously injured after a shooting Saturday afternoon in the parking lot of Gately Park Stadium on the city’s South Side.

The shooting happened at around 4:15 p.m. in the 10200 block of South Cottage Grove.

Chicago police said a 15-year-old boy was in a parking lot when a white vehicle approached him. Someone from inside the vehicle then pulled out a gun and shot him in the abdomen area.

The teen was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in serious condition, according to investigators.

No arrests have been made and detectives are investigating.
