Biden impeachment inquiry ends as it began, evidence-free

Practically the second Republicans won a House majority, they began laying the groundwork for the eventual impeachment of President Biden. The specifics were beyond the point; GOP leadership and eventually the Oversight, Judiciary and Ways and Means Committees knew the outcome they wanted and worked backward, trying to find some evidence that Biden had worked to use his position as vice president (a different office than he has) to have his family profit. That resulted in a 291-page report issued Monday, without any such evidence.
