Drew Bledsoe has been busy this summer when it comes to landing jabs and roasting his former Patriots teammate in Tom Brady.

The former Patriots QB (who was supplanted by Brady as New England’s signal-caller during the 2001 season) had plenty of fun at Brady’s expense during the latter’s Netflix roast in May — while also getting a few laughs for calling his former teammate the “worst backup quarterback in the history of the NFL” during Brady’s Patriots Hall of Fame induction in June.

Of course, Bledose’s jokes have all been in good fun — with the former No. 1 overall pick once again getting a dig in against Brady during an interview on NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” on Wednesday.

“I know Tommy will work it to death,” Bledsoe said when asked about Brady’s upcoming role as Fox’ lead NFL analyst during broadcasts. “I will get kind of tired of his squeaky-ass voice, but I know he’ll do a great job calling the game.”

At this point, Bledsoe is no stranger to cracking jokes about the player who replaced him in Foxborough. The now-52-year-old Bledsoe was asked about participating in Brady’s Netflix roast, noting that he was not the one stressing over his script leading up to the special.

“That was probably the most prepared I’ve been publicly just because I had to run through it with my wife and kids because they were so nervous,” Bledsoe said. “My kids each individually called me and said, ‘Alright, dad, what are you going to say?’ because they were so nervous. ‘All I hear from you are bad dad jokes and super inappropriate stuff at inappropriate times.”

Brady will officially begin his broadcasting career on Fox on Sept. 8 when the Dallas Cowboys open their season against the Cleveland Browns.
