13-year-old boy critically wounded in Grand Crossing shooting

CHICAGO — A 13-year-old boy was critically wounded while walking on a sidewalk Thursday night in Chicago’s Grand Crossing neighborhood.

Police said the shooting occurred in the 700 block of E. 79th Street around 7:30 p.m.

The 13-year-old shooting victim suffered gunshot wounds to the left inner thigh and right upper thigh. Paramedics rushed the teen to Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition.

No one is in custody.
