2 men stabbed overnight in East Woodlawn neighborhood, police say – Chicago Tribune

Two men were stabbed overnight on the South Side in the East  Woodlawn neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Shortly before 3 a.m., police responded to a call of a person stabbed in the 6600 block of South Greenwood Avenue and found a 34-year-old man with a stab wound to the back of the head. The victim was taken to UChicago Medicine and listed in fair condition.

Another call came out of a second person stabbed at the same location and officers discovered a 42-year-old man with a stab wound to the back left shoulder. He was taken to the same hospital in fair condition, police said.

That victim told police he was standing outside drinking when a male suspect stabbed him. No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
