Caleb the goat ran away on Sunday after being “spooked,” but was returned home and reunited with his brother Joey.

Caleb the goat has been found, Sowa Goat Sanctuary said in an Instagram Reel on Wednesday.

He returned to his home at the sanctuary in Harvard, Massachusetts, after the “most gut-wrenching and harrowing 2 days,” Sowa said in the Reel caption.

Caleb went missing on Sunday after he got spooked while he and his brother Joey were moving to their “new life” at Sowa, the sanctuary said.

But just two days later, man named Derek told Sowa he spotted Caleb near his house, the video caption said. Sowa volunteers rushed to Derek’s property nearby, where video shows Caleb hiding between Derek’s tractor and a lean-to.

The Reel shows volunteers securing Caleb with a harness, leading him to one of their transport trucks, and safely bringing him to Sowa. Brothers Joey and Caleb reunited at the sanctuary, with video showing the two brothers nuzzling upon their reunion.

Caleb is “shaken, but completely unharmed physically,” as he adjusts to life at Sowa, the video caption said.

“We see both the worst and best of humanity in the sanctuary world and have really seen the best coming out during this crisis,” the Reel caption said.
