AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help to identify a possible suspect in an alleged “attempted child abduction” that happened earlier Wednesday, the agency said in a news release.

Around 6 a.m., WCSO received a report of the incident in the 16000 block of Farm to Market Road 1325 in Austin, the release said. A 16-year-old reported they were waiting at the bus stop and was approached by a man.

WCSO said the teen described the man as “a tall, chunky black man with a bald head, and missing one eye.” The teen was able to “break free” from the man and “return home unharmed,” the release said.

The man was not identified by later in the evening Wednesday, according to WCSO.

The incident is being investigated by the WCSO Criminal Investigations Division, “and appropriate charges will be filed,” according to WCSO.

For any information regarding this case, contact the WCSO at 512-943-1311 or email CID@wilco.org.
