Northeast flooding leaves 2 dead in Conn.

Fast and heavy torrential rainfall led to flooding, turning roads into raging rivers in parts of Connecticut on Sunday, Aug. 18 and Monday, Aug. 19, 2024. At least two people were killed after being swept away by floodwaters in Oxford, Conn. and many buildings, roads and cars were destroyed by the rainfall.
