Malibu mansion of Warriors owner Joe Lacob lists for $44M

US

(KRON) — Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob’s mansion in Malibu is being listed for $44 million, according to Realtor.com. The listing has been up since last week and is located at 22150 Pacific Coast Hwy, right on the sand of the Los Angeles beach.

Lacob’s 5,512-square-foot mansion has five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms across three floors, according to the Realtor.com listing. There is also a two-car garage and views of the Pacific Ocean.

Lacob purchased the property in 2019 for $29,100,000. The property’s value has increased by about $15 million.

However, not everybody can apply to purchase the Malibu estate. “Only those with very deep pockets need apply for the staggering property,” the listing on Realtor.com said.

According to Forbes, the Warriors’ CEO has a net worth of $2.1 billion. Lacob led an investment group to purchase the Warriors for $450 million in 2010. In 2023, Forbes said the value of the San Francisco-based NBA team is at $7.7 billion.

Since Lacob bought the Warriors, the team has become an NBA dynasty, winning four championships in eight years from 2014-2022.

If the property ends up being sold at the listed price, Lacob could end up $44 million richer — enough to pay Stephen Curry’s 2020-21 salary when he made just over $43 million. The Warriors superstar is set to make $55,761,216 this upcoming season, according to Spotrac.

Photos of the property can be viewed on Realtor.com’s website.
