Man killed at Big Bear Lake hotel

A man was found dead after an apparent homicide in Big Bear Lake, and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is looking for the killer.

The man, whose identity has not been released, was found “with injuries consistent with a homicide” at Bear Creek Resort, 40200 Big Bear Blvd., shortly before 7:30 a.m. Sunday, the Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made, investigators said.

When reached by phone, a resort employee said all they know is that a shooting was reported at the resort, and the Sheriff’s Department is continuing to investigate.
