Man Struck by Train Outside Citi Field During Mets Game

US

A train struck and killed a man near Citi Field Saturday around 6 p.m., cops said, in what appears to be a suicide.

A train operator had observed the man walking on the catwalk and then lying down, according to police. The operator was unable to stop the southbound 7 train just outside of Mets-Willets Point in Queens from fatally striking the man.

The investigation remains ongoing.
