Westbound Interstate 70 is closed near Vail for a crash, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The interstate is closed between Exit 180 for Vail Pass Summit — about one mile west of Copper Mountain — and Exit 190 for East Vail, CDOT officials said in a 5:19 p.m. post on social media.

Drivers should expect delays due to the crash and take alternate routes where possible, CDOT officials said. No estimated time of reopening was available.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
