CHICAGO — Some students returned to school this week, while others are enjoying the final days of summer.
But there’s still time for a last-minute road trip with the family.
Marla Cichowski, with the Illinois Office of Tourism, joined WGN’s Evening News at 4 p.m. to discuss a few ideas for a fun road trip with the family before the kids head back to school and the summer ends.
Illinois destinations the state’s Office of Tourism says to consider include:
- A road trip down Great River Road
- White Pines Forest State Park
- Shawnee National Forest
- Galena’s Historic Main Street
