Dakota Johnson, Chris Martin still together amid reports of split

Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin are still “happily together” despite reports claiming the actress and Coldplay frontman had split after seven years.

A rep for the “How to Be Single” star, 34, and “Clocks” singer, 47, confirmed to both People and TMZ on Friday that the stars have not called off their engagement.

The comments came just hours after reports of a split began circulating, claiming the couple — who have been together since 2017 — had broken up for good after years of up and downs.

News broke back in March that Johnson and Martin have long been secretly engaged.

The pair “got engaged years ago but were in no rush to get married,” an insider told People at the time.

The couple first sparked engagement rumors in late 2020, when Johnson was snapped sporting a large emerald on her left ring finger, which the source confirmed was an engagement ring.

While promoting the widely panned “Madame Web,” Johnson opened up on her relationship with Martin’s children — daughter Apple, 20, and son Moses, 18 — who he shares with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow.

“I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart,” she told Bustle, adding that she’s “so open” to having her own biological children.

“I’ve gotten to this place where I really want to experience everything that life has to offer. And especially being a woman, I’m like, What a magical f—ing thing to do,” she said. “If that’s meant to happen for me, I’m totally down for it.”

The pair allegedly briefly broke up in 2019 over disagreements about having kids, but quickly got back together.

Meanwhile, Martin and Paltrow, who married in 2003, have remained on good terms since they “consciously uncoupled” in 2014.

Last fall, Paltrow spoke out about her own relationship with Johnson.

“We’re actually very good friends,” she said in an October Q&A on Instagram. “I love her so much. She’s an adorable, wonderful person.”
