Vice President and Democratic nominee for president Kamala Harris is in Raleigh Friday to discuss her plans to bolster the economy and prevent price gouging.

It’s Harris’ eighth visit to North Carolina this year.

The Democratic candidate for president and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, were scheduled to visit Raleigh as part of a tour of swing states. But they were forced to postpone due to Tropical Storm Debby.

Her visit Friday comes days before the Democratic National Convention, where she and Walz will present their platform to the country. It’s been less than a month since President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and Harris secured the nomination, where she will face Republican nominee, former President Donald Trump.
