A woman was in need of rescue after she either fell or jumped from the Santa Monica Pier Thursday night.
The incident was reported at the popular tourist location around 11 p.m.
Emergency responders including local lifeguards found the woman and brought her safely back to shore, freelance media firm KNN reported.
Video showed the unidentified woman being taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
The extent of her injuries was unknown.
