Hurricane Harbor, the waterpark adjacent to Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, will undergo a major transformation ahead of its 30th anniversary next year, theme park officials announced Thursday.
The upgrades include expanded shaded areas, more seating, cabanas, and other new amenities.
“The park’s ambiance will be revitalized with colorful slide and structure refurbishments, added landscaping and upgraded food and beverage options and locations for a more satisfying dining experience,” a news release said.
Officials also expressed that the transformation will impact every aspect of the waterpark.
The upcoming transformation of Hurricane Harbor comes after the theme park company announced new additions coming to Six Flags parks nationwide, including new attractions and rides.
“Our capital plans for the year ahead reaffirm our commitment to providing unparalleled thrills, immersive entertainment and unforgettable memories to guests of all ages,” Richard A. Zimmerman, president and CEO of Six Flags, said in a statement. “Whether you’re a diehard fan of record-breaking coasters and water slides, a food lover on the prowl for unique and tasty treats, or a lifelong devotee of over-the-top festivals and live entertainment, you’ll find something to enjoy at our parks in 2025.”
Officials didn’t announce when the transformation at Hurricane Harbor would be complete.
The waterpark, nicknamed “Southern California’s most thrilling water park,” opened on June 16, 1995.
