The collision happened around 8 a.m. at Duane Street and Harrison Avenue, near the McKinley Institute of Technology and North Star Academy, the Redwood City Police Department said in a news release.
The woman and girl were walking in a crosswalk when they were hit by a driver turning from southbound Duane Street onto eastbound Harrison Avenue, according to police.
Both pedestrians were taken to an area hospital with moderate injuries, police said.

“This incident should be a reminder to all community members that school is back in session and to be particularly careful around schools during drop off and pick up times,” police said.
