The New England Patriots headed into training camp with a big problem regarding their biggest defensive star. Star linebacker Matthew Judon was engaged in a hold-in, as he was seeking a new adjusted contract, much like the one he received in 2023.
Instead of allowing Judon to walk in 2023, the team agreed to adjust his contract and change his $2 million guaranteed money to $14 million. This bought Judon another season, but it appears that the conversations about restructuring his contract have not gone well.
Instead of handing over an extensive amount of money to Judon, the Patriots are set to finalize a deal to send the star linebacker to the Atlanta Falcons.
