How to watch the Dallas Cowboys this season on KXAN, CW Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — With the NFL preseason in full swing, the Dallas Cowboys will make periodic appearances on KXAN and CW Austin this season.

The Cowboys’ two remaining preseason games will be on KXAN and CW Austin while three regular season games will be part of NBC’s “Football Night in America” broadcast on Sunday nights.

Dallas takes on the Las Vegas Raiders at 9 p.m. CDT, Saturday, on KXAN, meaning there won’t be the typical 10 p.m. newscast. The Cowboys end the preseason slate against the Los Angeles Chargers at 3 p.m., Aug. 24 on CW Austin.

In the regular season, Dallas heads to the Steel City on Oct. 6 to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in a Week 5 matchup. The Cowboys go on the road three weeks later to play the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers on Oct. 27 and then it’ll be almost two months before they are on KXAN again. Dallas hosts the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 16 (Dec. 22) to close out its regular season games on KXAN/NBC. All Sunday night game broadcasts begin at 7:20 p.m.

The Cowboys didn’t give fans much to cheer about on the offensive side of the ball in a 13-12 loss to the LA Rams to open the preseason. Defensively, they grabbed four interceptions from Rams rookie quarterback Stetson Bennett, but they let Bennett lead a game-winning drive with a touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter.
