BROOKFIELD, Ill. — There are four new, bundle of joys at the Brookfield Zoo!
The zoo announced Monday that four baby flamingos have hatched in the last few weeks.
Two chicks hatched on July 26, a third on July 28 and the youngest hatched on August 7.
Their genders are yet to be determined and the zoo says they are currently under the care of staff and housed behind the scenes.

But they will soon make their public debut.
The zoo said the young bird will be on view starting Monday August 19. They will be housed in the penguin encounter room from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.
In early September, zoo staff plans to take them outside on the South Mall for their daily session, also from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.
When the chicks are about two months old, they can be seen daily at “The Swamp” along with the older flamingos.
