After a yearslong wait, it’s finally here.
The Intuit Dome in Inglewood is set to make its debut as a performance venue this week beginning with Bruno Mars on Thursday and Friday.
This fall, the $2 billion dome will also be the new home of the Los Angeles Clippers, whose owner, Steve Ballmer, also owns the venue.
As Becky Colwell, VP of Music and Events at Intuit Dome, told the Daily Breeze, the space has been maximized to increase fan enjoyment.
“[Ballmer’s] priority was always to create a space that was not only state-of-the-art but also deeply user-friendly,” she said. “While technology plays a significant role, it was never meant to overshadow the experience. Instead, Steve wanted to use technology to ensure that every fan and guest feels as comfortable as possible. And that’s precisely what we’ve achieved with every seat in this house.”
