2 teens hospitalized after being shot in Pilsen, Chicago police say

CHICAGO — Two teenagers were hospitalized after being shot late Saturday night in Pilsen on the city’s Lower West Side.

According to Chicago police, an 18-year-old male and a 15-year-old male were walking on the sidewalk in the 1600 block of South Morgan Street just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday when they heard gunshots.

Police say the 18-year-old was shot twice in the left arm. He was treated by Chicago Fire Department personnel and taken to an area hospital in fair condition. The 15-year-old, police say, was shot twice in the pelvis and once in the buttocks. He was also treated by CFD personnel and taken to an area hospital in fair condition.

At the scene, 13 evidence markers were visible as investigators combed the area.

Police say nobody is in custody, and Area Three detectives are investigating.
