Two shot and killed in North Lawndale Friday night

Two people were killed in a shooting outside an apartment building in North Lawndale Friday night, according to Chicago Police.

An unidentified man and woman were standing in a walkway of an apartment building on the 3400 block of West Douglas Boulevard when they were shot at about 9:59 p.m, police say.

The woman was taken by the Chicago Fire Department with a gunshot wound to the head and pronounced dead, according to police. The man was taken by the CFD to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, with gunshot wounds to the head and chest, where he was later pronounced dead, police say.

There are no suspects in custody, and detectives are investigating.
