The Cleveland Browns are entering the 2024 season ready to prove that last season was no fluke. Despite all sorts of injuries, the Browns reached the postseason and were one of the more entertaining teams across the NFL.

Cleveland is looking forward to a healthier season from its players this year. The organization believes that it has a team ready to compete for a Super Bowl. The Browns are currently led on offense by star wide receiver Amari Cooper. But the two sides have seen better days.
There have been some trade rumors involving Cooper of late, leading to some tension between the parties. Cooper has been angling for a new contract this offseason from the Browns. But so far, nothing has materialized.
He is entering the final year of his current contract and is looking for more stability moving forward. Cooper has been great for the Browns since being traded to them but it takes two to tango.

Amid recent trade rumors, Cooper posted a cryptic message on social media. This sparked all sorts of narratives and questions surrounding what the Browns would do with him.
“lol I wouldn’t mind at all,” Brown wrote on his Instagram Story.
The veteran wide receiver skipped mandatory minicamp over the offseason, leading to much speculation about whether he would hold out or not. Earlier in the summer, Cooper didn’t mince words when giving a reason why he decided to not attend the mandatory mini-camp.
“I’d pull a hammy or something trying to race you,” Cooper said to an individual from the betting company Betr. “I’m trying to get paid this year.”
This new post by Cooper opens a lot of doors for what the Browns could do. Reportedly they had dangled him to the San Francisco 49ers for star wider receiver Brandon Aiyuk, giving more thought to a change of scenery coming for Cooper.
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski opened up earlier in the summer about the Cooper situation. He couldn’t say much but mentioned that the team was only going to focus on players in attendance.
“These situations, I understand that they do come up,” Stefanski said. “I’ll really leave all of that between Amari, Amari’s agent and AB (general manager Andrew Berry) and those type of conversations. Again, as you guys know, we focus on guys that are here. We’ll get some good work in and really keep it at that.”
If Cooper is indeed traded, the Browns would need to find a replacement for him quickly. The new season starts in a few weeks and Cleveland doesn’t have anyone as good as Cooper on the roster currently.
