J.Q. Gagliastro sits down with WGN news, talks new book "Diary of a Sugar Baby"

US

J.Q. Gagliastro sat down to talk about the inspiration behind their new book, “Diary of a Sugar Baby,” and a book signing that is happening Saturday afternoon in the Loop.

“I was heavily inspired by all things dystopian so, [George] Orwell, [Margaret] Atwood, Parable of the Sower,” Gagliastro told WGN News’ Sean Lewis. “But it’s also based on my life, specifically, growing up queer and in a society where a lot of those emotions are repressed and also oppressed from others.”

Here are the details on where you can go to attend Gagliastro’s book signing in Chicago, and where to follow them on social media:

Book Signing: Macy’s on State Street (111 N State St.), from 1-3 p.m. CT.
