Pedestrian fatally stuck overnight on South DuSable Lake Shore Drive, cops say – Chicago Tribune

A driver fatally struck a pedestrian early Saturday morning on DuSable Lake Shore Drive, Chicago police said.

About 4:11 a.m. a man headed north in a silver SUV in the 1300 block of South DuSable Lake Shore Drive struck a pedestrian that was in the street, police said. The driver remained at the scene.

The unidentified male victim suffered severe body trauma and was being treated by Chicago Fire Department paramedics, but was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Major Accidents Investigation Unit was investigating, and the police said the driver will be issued citations.
